There is no hope for this World outside of the Cross of Christ.

As God’s Word states, “For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God.”, 1 Corinthians 1:18. It is the preaching of the Cross that proclaims the vicarious atoning sacrifice of Christ on Calvary’s Cross as the answer to man’s every need. It was at the Cross that Jesus paid the sin debt for the Law we spurned that broke the grip of sin for all that will believe, John 3:14-21.

     It was because the Cross that the veil between God and man was rent from the top to the bottom, all sin atoned, Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38. It is faith in the Cross, (the Cross, meaning Christ’s finished work) that guarantees our salvation, Colossians 1:20-22. As it is faith in the Cross that gives the believer that overcoming victorious walk daily, Romans 8:1-2. In other words, everything comes through the Cross, our salvation, baptism with the Holy Spirit, deliverance from sin, healing, the fruit of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, a life that sin doesn’t have dominion over. 

Everything comes to the believer through the Cross.

If one is directed to anything other than which Christ accomplished at Calvary’s Cross, false doctrine is being presented. It is only the sacrifice of Christ at Calvary’s Cross that is our hope, there is no other. Nothing must be added to or taken away from what Christ has afforded us.
